What is Tajweed?
Tajweed’s meaning is to beautify or to perfect in Arabic. It is the science of correctly pronouncing the Quran so that its meaning remains the same.
Tajweed is derived from the Arabic root word “j-w-d” meaning “to make better” or “to improve”. It is a set of rules and guidelines that ensure the recitation conveys the exact meaning intended by the holy text.
